Forecourt Assist North East Ltd becomes the second fuel drain acquisition into the Fuel Fixer International network operated by Stockbridge Capital Holdings, following the acquisition of NW Fuel Drain. Separately, CEO and Principal Stuart Guy has launched MotorServicing.co, a mobile car servicing and diagnostics venture, extending the group's mobile technician platform from emergency callout into scheduled maintenance.
Founded as a sole trader and grown organically into the regional market leader, Forecourt Assist North East Ltd operates a mobile wrong-fuel and fuel draining service across Durham, Newcastle, Sunderland, Gateshead, Darlington, Hartlepool, Stockton, Middlesbrough, Teesside, Leeds and Yorkshire, typically attending customers within one hour. The business is ISO 9001 and PAS 43 accredited and is an approved mobile TerraClean operator, providing engine decarbonisation services from its County Durham service centre.
Transaction rationale
The acquisition advances a buy-and-build strategy in mobile automotive services, a fragmented market in which regulatory and insurance requirements create meaningful barriers to entry. Fuel draining requires ADR Class 3 and SPA petrol forecourt licences, DSEAR-compliant ATEX-certified equipment and Environment Agency waste carrier registration, a compliance burden that separates certified operators from the long tail of uncertified competitors advertising online.
